A living church worshipping the living God

Our Vision

We spent some time as a church praying about our vision. Here’s what we came up with:

vision

  • To worship God passionately
  • Walk with God closely
  • And work with God wholeheartedly.

Worship God passionately

As Christians we believe that our lives should be an act of worship to God – that means everything we do from going to work, to socialising with friends is part of our worship to God. We also believe that it is important to set aside time where we focus our hearts on God and worship him. Psalm 100:2 says ‘Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.’ Worship through music therefore plays an important role in most of our services. Music allows us fix our minds on God and spend time in his close presence.

Walk with God closely

Psalm 119:105 says, ‘Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.’ Walking with God closely involves praying, reading the Bible and following God’s ways. We know that this can be really difficult, but as a church we are committed to making this our goal.

Work with God wholeheartedly

Our prayer as a church is that we would see God’s kingdom come in our village. To that end, we are committed to praying for our village and surrounding areas and we try to put on events that allow members of our community to get involved with the church. We want to work with God to see lives changed and to see God’s glory revealed.
